1. Purpose and acceptance

These terms govern the use of the mobile game One Last Heist (“the Game”), published by Styvens Wentz EI, trading as Pixel & Quill Studio (“the publisher”). They complete the Pixel & Quill Studio terms of use, which apply to all the studio's games; for the Game, this page gives the details and prevails where the two differ. You accept them, together with the privacy policy of One Last Heist, by ticking “I accept the Terms of Use and the Privacy Policy” at first launch. If you do not accept them, do not use the Game.

2. Who the Game is for

One Last Heist is fiction about heists: it shows crimes, the police, arrests and implied violence, in a light tone. The Game is not intended for children under 13, and access is blocked when the declared age is under 13. If you are between 13 and 17, ask a parent or legal guardian for permission before playing and before any purchase; the Game reminds you of this. The age is declared once, at first launch; to change it, delete your data in My account.

3. Licence

The publisher grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to use the Game on your devices, for private, non-commercial use. You may not copy, modify, decompile, resell or distribute the Game or its content, except where the law expressly allows it.

4. Fiction

The characters, places, organisations, brands and events of the Game are imaginary; any resemblance to real people or situations is coincidental. The Game does not describe any real-world method and does not encourage breaking the law in any way.

5. Guest mode and Google Play Games

You can play as a guest: your progress then stays on your device. Signing in to Google Play Games is optional; it gives access to Google achievements, the global leaderboard and, once available, cloud save. Your use of Google Play Games is also subject to Google's terms.

6. In-app purchases

The Game is free to download. It offers optional purchases, processed by Google Play:

Prices, including taxes, are shown in the Game and on Google Play before payment; Google Play's terms of sale apply. Redo tokens are virtual items with no monetary value: they cannot be exchanged, transferred or refunded outside the cases provided for by law or by Google Play. Permanent purchases are tied to your Google Play account and can be restored with Restore purchases. A purchase is unlocked only once Google Play has confirmed it; a fraudulent, cancelled or refunded purchase may be withdrawn.

Right of withdrawal: for digital content supplied immediately, you expressly agree to its immediate supply and acknowledge that you lose your right of withdrawal once the content is supplied (Article L221-28 13° of the French Consumer Code). Refunds follow Google Play's policy.

7. Advertising

The Game shows ads to stay free: banners, an ad between two jobs (never during a job or the tutorial), and rewarded ads, which are always optional (for example, to get an arrested crew member out or reroll a complication). Players under 15 only see non-personalised ads. You manage your ad choices in My account → Manage ad choices. Buying Remove ads removes banners and ads between jobs.

8. Fair play

You agree not to cheat, use bots, modify or tamper with the Game, its save or its scores, exploit bugs, get around purchases or ads, or harm the Game, its servers or other players. The Game may use Google Play Integrity and checks the plausibility of results to protect the leaderboard and purchases. In case of a breach, the publisher may remove scores or withdraw content obtained fraudulently and, once online services are active, suspend access to them.

9. Intellectual property

The Game and all its content (code, texts, graphics, sounds, music, characters, names) are protected and belong to the publisher or its licensors. Third-party components are used under their licences: the Godot Engine (MIT licence) and the JetBrains Mono, IBM Plex Sans and Noto Color Emoji fonts (SIL Open Font License).

10. Availability and changes

The Game is provided as is. The publisher may update it, change its content or balance, or temporarily interrupt online features for maintenance. The publisher strives to keep the Game available but does not guarantee uninterrupted operation. If the Game is withdrawn, the publisher will give reasonable notice where possible.

11. Deleting your data

You can delete your data at any time in My account → Delete my account and data. This erases your progress, settings and profile on the device and cannot be undone; your purchases stay tied to your Google Play account and can be restored.

12. Liability

The publisher is not liable for damage resulting from misuse of the Game, an incompatible device, a network failure or third-party services (Google). Nothing in these terms limits your statutory rights as a consumer, including the legal guarantee of conformity for digital content (Articles L224-25-12 et seq. of the French Consumer Code).

13. Personal data

Data processing is described in the privacy policy of One Last Heist.

14. Changes to these terms

The publisher may change these terms. The date at the top of this page will be updated and, for any significant change, the Game will ask you to accept the new terms before you continue.

15. Applicable law and disputes

These terms are governed by French law. Before any legal action, contact the publisher at contact@pixelandquillstudio.com to find an amicable solution. As a consumer, you may also turn to a consumer mediator free of charge (Article L612-1 of the French Consumer Code): [to be completed]. If no amicable solution is found, the competent French courts have jurisdiction, without prejudice to the protective rules of your country of residence.
