1. Purpose and scope

These terms govern the use of all the games published by Pixel & Quill Studio (each a “Game”), present and future, by Styvens Wentz EI, trading as Pixel & Quill Studio (“the publisher”). The information specific to a Game (minimum age, content, purchases on offer, services used) is given on that Game's page on this website and in its store listing, and completes these terms. You accept these terms at first launch of a Game, for example by ticking the box “I accept the terms of use and the privacy policy”. If you do not accept them, do not use the Game.

2. Audience

Each Game states its minimum age on its page and in its store listing. A Game that asks for your age at first launch cannot be used below that minimum age. If you are a minor, you need your parents' permission to play and to make any purchase.

3. Licence

The publisher grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Game on your devices for private, non-commercial purposes. You may not copy, modify, decompile, resell or distribute the Game, or circumvent its protections (purchases, ads, save data).

4. Fiction

Unless stated otherwise, the characters, places and events in the Games are fictional. Any resemblance to real people or events is coincidental. The Games are not professional, legal or other advice.

5. Guest mode and platform game services

You can play the Games without creating an account with the publisher. Signing in to a platform game service (for example Google Play Games) is optional and may enable achievements, leaderboards and save sync. Your platform account is governed by the platform's own terms. The publisher may remove from a leaderboard any score obtained by cheating or manipulation.

6. In-app purchases

7. Advertising

Free Games may show ads (for example served by Google AdMob). Rewarded ads are always optional. Your ad choices can be managed from the Game's settings (see the privacy policy).

8. Prohibited conduct

You must not cheat, exploit bugs, modify the save files or the Game, or use automated tools to distort leaderboards or obtain paid content without buying it.

9. Intellectual property

The Games, their texts, images, sounds, characters and trademarks belong to Styvens Wentz EI (Pixel & Quill Studio) or its licensors. Third-party components (engines, libraries, fonts) are used under their own licences, listed in each Game's credits.

10. Availability and updates

The publisher does its best to keep the Games working properly, but they are provided “as is”. The publisher may update a Game, change its balance or content, or stop distributing it. Purchased content remains available in the installed version. Unless your save is synced with a platform service, uninstalling a Game erases your progress.

11. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, the publisher is not liable for indirect damage, loss of progress caused by uninstalling or a device failure, or interruptions of third-party services. Nothing in these terms limits your statutory consumer rights, including the legal guarantee of conformity for digital content.

12. Personal data

How your data is processed is described in the privacy policy.

13. Changes

The publisher may change these terms. The date at the top of this page will be updated; for significant changes, the Games concerned will ask you to accept them again before continuing.

14. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by French law. In case of dispute, please contact the publisher first at contact@pixelandquillstudio.com to find an amicable solution. Under Article L612-1 of the French Consumer Code, you may refer the matter free of charge to the following consumer mediator: [to be completed]. Failing agreement, the competent courts are those provided for by law; if you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory rules of your country of residence.
